It is the dynamism of the skills most important underwater diving?
When you start diving more students struggle with their buoyancy for some time. They are introduced to a strange environment and find they are floating or sinking. Unfortunately, many scuba divers with years behind them still have problems with their buoyancy. In the limit of a shallow pool lift improper training can be corrected by the instructor. When diving for long periods of time it is not possible and the buoyancy poor can be extremely dangerous.
The laws of buoyancy medical examinations are described by Archimedes principle – that most of us met at school. He says that a body immersed in a liquid to increase the size is equal to the weight of the fluid it displaces. Therefore, if a boat from the water displaces a weight of itself, is experienced as a force pushing up so it floats to the surface. By contrast, a stone sink, because being heavier than water it displaces a volume of less than himself. The ultimate goal is less than its own weight and be buried.
The ship provides positive buoyancy, while the stone is negatively buoyant. Divers do not want to flop to the surface or sink like a stone. We must be neutral in the water while a weak shot our fins can move up or down. If floated, we would have to paddle hard to duck below the surface and if it sank, still would be difficult to counteract the tendency to sink.
Neutral dynamics means less effort and therefore consumption, less air. It allows us to better control our attitude in the water and is more convenient than having to swim to always maintain a position. Diving enthusiasts to become neutral to balance their diving equipment. Is often trial and error and that a combination of insulation thickness or dry suit is used it usually means the addition of lead weights for diving equipment. Often, several pounds Lead is added through a weight belt or weight pockets on the jacket. Time to adjust the balance at the end of the dive, when most air has been drained from the tanks. As the air has been inhaled can weigh a few kilos depending on the size and configuration of tanks used, the diver is a light at the end of the dive and now must adjust their weight to achieve neutral buoyancy. Take the work at the beginning of immersion can cause the diver is very positive buoyancy by the end of the dive!
The weight belt and weight bags can be removed by the diver quickly. The belt weight has a quick release buckle and pockets are generally fixed by velcro. Thus, in case of emergency, the diver or your partner, you can remove the weight and push the plunger to the surface where you can save. This is a controversial method of rescue, and dive deeper and longer body, especially emergency procedure becomes in danger. The rapid increase in just a few meters from the water by a diver to panic after a dive twenty minutes is likely to lead to a bailout so safe. A similar increase of 40 meters company after an hour in the water will cause serious disease, such as lung rupture diving and decompression sickness. Even if a climb is done safely, Diving equipment used to control the dive will probably get the door closed diving for a day or more after an increase too quickly.
For range of diving as it is often advisable to reduce the weight of the emergency discharge to ensure that the rise of emergency too fast. Many divers have a combination of small bags and belts, so that only one party must be removed to achieve a slight positive boost. A technique diver can even use dual integral weight set that can not be eliminated. They know that a rapid increase would be as definitive as drowning. Some have a couple of furniture weight in kilo bags small some not -.
The buoyancy is considered an essential skill in diving. Without adequate control, it is impossible to swim in the coral, no damage delicate or difficult to fly in the performance of safety stops or decompression procedure. More weight can be dangerous and what is worse, the ill-fitting or loose weight can cause unexpected rises in floating and consequential damages that may be the body of a diver.
