Diving Fins
Reef booties or fins?
I'm going on vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii for 2 weeks and do some snorkeling and free. In reef shoes past I have used or fins, but think that for this trip, I'd be one of the two, as I have been repeatedly recommended comment snorkeling on the Big Island. At first I thought I had two different purposes (for reef walking shoes, and fins for swimming), but they just read some comments from people who recommend boots on fins for snorkeling, and vice versa. I just wanted to get opinions and recommendations. If I had to go with the palm of the hand, I want something low profile and easy to use (such as swim fins). Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you,
His terminology is slightly different. There are reef shoes (shoes) that are destined to walk on both land navigation. It is not intended to be prolonged with fins, but can be used to carry the street as well. There are also neoprene socks that are used with open heel fins. You can walk along the beach in these types of boots, but not exactly designed as wear street to start (pardon the pun). Neoprene booties and open heel fins probably would fit the bill for you as you do not intend to make some trips out of water. The fins themselves tend to be slightly more expensive than full foot fins, but you are snorkeling in a tad cooler water, you and be established.
